Finding Dory is the 1 2016 3D computer-animated adventure movie produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by Andrew Stanton under the co-direction of Angus MacLane, the script was written by Stanton and Victoria Strouse. The movie is a sequel/spin-off of Finding Nemo in 2003 and features the returning voices of Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks, with Hayden Rolence (replacing Alexander Gould), Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Ty Burrell, Diane Keaton, and Eugene Levy joining the cast. The movie focuses on the amnesiac fish Dory, who travels to reunite with his parents.
The movie debuted at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles on June 8, 2016, and premiered in the United States on June 17, 2016. After the release, the movie was well-received by critics and grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, making it Pixar’s second movie at $1 billion gross after Toy Story 3 in 2010, the third most 2016 blockbuster and the 22nd largest box office of every T Expos at the time of his theatrical career. Dory, a royal blue Tang, is separated from his parents as a child. When he grows up, Dory tries to look for them, nevertheless gradually forgets them because of his short-term memory loss. Dory, along with his parents and new friends, returns to Recife with Marlin and Nemo.
In a post-credits scene, finding Nemo’s Tank Gang, still trapped inside his plastic bags (now covered in seaweed), arrives in California a year after floating across the Pacific Ocean, where they are caught by members of the Institute’s staff of marine life.
